Taste of Sunrise

On November 10th, from 9 AM to 2 PM, Friar's Bay welcomed the unique Taste of Sunrise experience.


At 978 Beach, guests started their day with an authentic Saint Martin breakfast, prepared by local chefs Shane HUGGINS and Ashanta DANIEL.

The vibrant atmosphere was fueled by DJ Lil R’s mixes, the captivating rhythms of Gunslinger’s steel pan, and an exclusive live performance by Kenio Baly.

The boho chic dress code, with a touch of Unity Flag colors, added an elegant flair to this exceptional day.

Dinner for 4 hands

Guests had the chance to enjoy an exceptional culinary experience at one of the four-hands dinners, where renowned chefs teamed up with local establishments to create extraordinary meals :

  • Les Galets with Chef Lula Martin Del Campo on November 12
  • Tropics Beach Bar with Chef Anthony Denon on November 14
  • Maison Mère with Chef Stéphane Buron on November 14


Private Chef Competition

The fourth edition of the Saint-Martin Private Chefs and Caterers Competition exceeded all expectations! Talented chefs crafted complete menus featuring a starter, main course, and dessert, which were evaluated by a panel of culinary experts. Their innovative and flavorful creations beautifully highlighted local culinary expertise.

Cooking workshops

Our cooking workshops, led by chefs from around the world, were a huge success! Participants followed step-by-step recipes, learned new techniques, and took part in sessions designed for adults (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and children (ages 6 and up, with supervision).

Cheese and wine pairings

Guests enjoyed a delightful evening at our "Wine and Cheese Pairing" event, exploring the art of pairing carefully selected wines and cheeses from Le Comptoir des Fromages, Le Goût du Vin, Totem Wines, and Grape Wine.



Guided by expert sommeliers and cheesemongers, they discovered unique combinations, deepened their knowledge, and shared experiences with fellow enthusiasts in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Accords mets et cocktails

Guests experienced exquisite dishes highlighting contemporary Caribbean and international flavors, paired with creative cocktails designed to elevate every bite.
This exclusive event offered a unique culinary experience:

  • Starter created by Chef Lula Martin del Campo,
  • Main course prepared by Chef Marie-Chantal Lepage,
  • Dessert crafted by Chef Frédéric Jaunault.


The cocktails were expertly crafted by renowned mixologists Arthur Sutley, Mia Mastroianni, and Phil Wills.

Culinary Village

The Village of Gastronomy was the perfect spot for food lovers to indulge in the specialties of numerous restaurants in one evening. No need to choose—guests simply wandered from stall to stall to discover the rich culinary offerings of Saint-Martin.


From November 15 to 17, restaurants and food trucks gathered along the Marigot waterfront to offer an exceptional gastronomic experience, complemented by lively musical performances. Artists such as Oswald, Gyptian, Ralph Thamar, and Leela James added to the festive atmosphere of the evenings.

Competition at the Vocational High School

Hospitality and Culinary students from the Vocational High School presented dishes featuring guavaberry in a competition judged by a panel.

Workshops at the Vocational High School

Invited chefs conducted demonstrations and tastings for students from Lycée Daniella Jeffry, Collège Mont des Accords, and École Emile Choisy, introducing them to the culinary profession.

BBQ Competition

 The BBQ Competition is a must-attend event in Saint-Martin!

Ten professional chefs competed for the title of Best BBQ of Saint-Martin 2024, under the expert guidance of Kevin Bludso.
Each participant also showcased their delicious specialties for sale.

The lively atmosphere was fueled by DJ Siwro, C5 Band, King Timo & The Jolly Boyz, offering a festive evening filled with Caribbean beats.

Charity evening

Guests participated in an exceptional charity evening in support of Lycée Professionnel Daniella Jeffry, bringing together renowned chefs Stéphane Buron, Frédéric Jaunault, Shane Huggins, and Ashanta Daniel.

The menu featured a dinner combining the creations of Michelin-starred chefs and students, prepared with local ingredients. All proceeds were donated to support the school’s educational projects and improve its infrastructure.

The event beautifully united gastronomy and solidarity, creating better opportunities for the young talents of our island.

Food truck competition

This year, the food truck competition made an exciting comeback! Chefs showcased their creativity to impress the judges with captivating flavors and compete for the grand prize. Every bite delivered an exceptional street food experience.

Mixology Competition

 The jury visited the 15 participating establishments during the initial scoring phase, held from November 11 to 22 as part of the Gastronomy Festival.

The three finalists competed for the title of Best Mixologist of Saint-Martin 2024 during the grand finale on November 21 at Marina Fort Louis. This event, open to the public with free entry, allowed attendees to cheer on the finalists and discover unique cocktail creations.

Dessert Competition

Talented pastry chefs competed with creativity and finesse to craft sweet treats that delighted the taste buds. One of them was crowned the winner of the most exquisite dessert on the island. This celebration of sweet flavors was truly a success!

 Guests celebrated the closing of the Gastronomy Festival with a unique culinary experience!

All the guest chefs came together in the kitchen to showcase their specialties, from Africa to the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, and of course, Saint-Martin.

The musical atmosphere was provided by DJ Big Boss, DJ Maestro, and Sugar Apple Band, making for a festive and unforgettable evening.
